Houston, Texas - 12 April 2010 - White Marlin E&P, LLC, an upstream oil and gas production company, announced today the addition of a seasoned oil and gas executive to their management team. Robert L. (Bob) Byers joins the company as Chief Operating Officer, who has over 30 years experience in the industry.
Bob Byers graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a B.S. in Marine (Mechanical) Engineering and has served in multiple technical, operational and leadership roles, including facilities, engineering, production operations, and business management. Among his business management roles, he was previously an Offshore Engineering Manager with Mobil Exploration and Producing, and was Director of Engineering at Reading & Bates Development Company where he helped to build a start-up oil and gas subsidiary into a $312MM venture in just four years. Mr. Byers ultimately formed his own consulting engineering company and over the past 10 years has been involved in some of the largest oil and gas developments in the world, notably Shell's Perdido, BP's Angola Block 18, Shell's BC-10, Bonga SW and NW projects.
